NATURE
With an 8mm film camera, 16 years old, and a group of friends, I made my first nature documentary. We managed to film the life of the owl, a peculiar nocturnal raptor. We won a short film award. From that moment on, the image of the natural world hooked me. And while I focused my work life on reportage, I always tried to find a space to photograph natural spaces or animals. I also took advantage of those destinations of my trips with a high naturalistic component. I could contemplate the great scenes of nature and unleash my photographic drive. I refined the technique a lot with the gradient filters that were brought to me from the USA. They were among the first to be made. Since then, I have always tried not to repeat myself and look for unusual frames with surprising light.
